Hey Guys.

First the equipment list:

American Defense - Recon mount (1.470" centerline to top of rail)
Leupold Mark4 #67950 M2 Dials - TMR reticle
LWRC M6IC-A5 5.56\223 16" barrel
Intended shooting range - Out to 500 yards max.

Here's the problem I have:

I went to the range (50 yard) and used a laser bore sighter (Laserlyte) to get the setup on paper. Well sadly I am a full 2 MIL's UNDER the crosshair (center of target) ..... and I am bottomed out on this scope.(Downward rotation on the elevation dial) which means I'm holding over 2mils to hit target dead center.

How would you correct this problem?

I was about to order 0.5 risers which would hopefully solve the problem, and thought I would ask the guys here with experience before plunking down cash for modifications.

Thank in advance for your help.

Secondary question ........... Did Leupold screw up my scope or did they modify it so that I can get maximum elevation????

I found out what the problem is. I sent this scope in to Leupold to have it converted from M3 to M2. I was at the range today with some friends and it was suggested that I put the scope to a mirror to ensure I can get a mechanical center.

Well I can't, because the downward zero stop prevents me from going any further - I still have 28MOA of elevation.

So, here's what the mirror shows in the vertical alignment @ the downward zero stop.
