So the other day I acquired (traded for) a TA01 ACOG. I had looked at the NSN model about a month ago that the tritium was non existent in and contacted Trijicon directly to get a quote on a repair cost. The quote received was nearly $600, so I passed on said scope.
Today I was browsing YouTube and came across a video about ACOG repair and referbishing from June by a guy who sent his NSN ACOG in for the same thing. Figured it would be a good thing to watch as I am now the owner of one. In the video he says and shows a receipt that totals $188 for this repair. Does anyone have any current info on the cost for this repair? I wanted to use the industry forum but Trijicon doesn't have a page. Seems like a huge difference in price.

From reading other threads, it seems that the price they quoted you involves completely rebuilding the internals of the scope as well as replacing the tritium.  That sounds like their standard practice.  In that video you are referencing, he states they only replaced the eye piece and the adjustment mechanisms.  The price he paid may have something to do with them not feeling the need to redo the internals completely, or it may have a different reticle which requires less tritium.

They may also have a different price structure based on when the scope was purchased, and the policy they had in place at the time.  He stated he had sent in the warranty card and the thing was about 16 years old, so the price to an actual original owner may be different than someone calling with a second or third hand unit.

Didn't even think of different pricing based on ownership or sat of mfg. Thanks
