Built my dad his first AR.
It's a Budget build. Psa stripped lower form turners Magpul parts kits from pas Blew PSA SS freedom upper. PSA premium bolt/ CH combo All he needs now is rear sight. He's pretty set on the carry handle sight... I know nothing about these.. Which one do you guys recommend??? |

$80, made in USA, top notch. The cheap ones don't hold zero well. |

Yes, carry handle will in fact be used as sight Quoted:

Used Colt would my first choice. Stay away from anything else if you actuallywant to use the elevation and windage drums as intended. Yes, carry handle will in fact be used as sight As I understand, unless you have a 20" 1:7 twist AR shooting M855 you cannot use the elevation markings as intended. |

I picked up one of these for a cheap rear sight for a 9mm AR.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T2CDHIE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 Obviously it's made in China, but for a cheap carry handle it fits the bill for 26 bucks shipped. This is one of the only Chicom sights/carry handles I'd recommend. -It's actually anodized, not just sprayed with some cheap paint. -Doesn't appear to be cheap pot metal. -Adjustments seem to be just fine and dandy. Positive clicks and all that. -Mounted okay, but the screws on mine made it a little to long to torque down with a screw driver. That is the only negative. I used a piece of cotton cloth and a pair of robo grips to get it tight. I compared it to some UTG Made In China sights that came with my 15-22 it is worlds apart. The metal isn't soft like other cheaper sights/carry handles. This UTG Pro Carry handle seems like an even better value for $57 though. http://www.natchezss.com/utg-pro-us-made-mil-spec-7075t6-forged-carry-handle-sight.html Made in the USA 7075T6 Forged. Probably just as good as the expensive options out there. UTG Pro stuff isn't bad at all. PSA would be the next best choice. |
