I bought a Vortex Diamondback 3.5 x 10  x  50mm scope, Can anyone tell  me  what height rings I would need .

1"=25.4mm/2=12.7mm

50mm/2= 25mm

25-12.7= 12.3mm= 0.484"

Something more than that.

I would recommend any of the one piece scope mounts for an AR. No need to worry about ring heights with them and you'll be able to mount the scope far enough forward.

Yeah, use a single-piece mount. The AR's receiver needs it.

"Normal" AR height over bore is 1.5"

High (barely, and only if your hand guard is level with the upper) or extra-high, but you'd be far better off with a cantilevered uni-mount like this:

This is not an endorsement of that particular mount, just as an example.

Fishbone928 I called Vortex and  talked to Tech support. The guy I talked with at Vortex said  he had a  similar setup as I did and the mount you gave me a link to is the same one Vortex said I needed.                  Thanks
