Just purchased my first AR after being retired for 20+ years.  I purchased a CORE15 M4 Keymod Scout which is a flattop with Picatinny all the way down the handguard.  I purchased Magpul front/rear popup sights and bought a scope with rings before finding out that I would need to get some sort of riser rail to bring the scope up to height.  Is this normal for all flattop AR's?  Since this is a low end purchase (but I like it damn it, nice to have an AR back in my hands.) what is a 'reasonable' setup to put a scope on?  I have a UTG 3-9X32 1" BugBuster Scope which I like for ther moment and it didn't break the bank as a first buy.

Thanks,
Richard

This is what I use  9make sure you order 1 inch versus 30 mm depending upon your scope tube diameter
