Hi,
I recently mounted an Aimpoint Comp M3 on a Bobro Lower 1/3 co-witness, after that I zeroed in my Magpul BUIS {Front & Back) sights just perfect at 50 yards. But as soon as I went to the 100 yard my eyesight; due to age was not able to see clearly center mass. So I thought to get some eye relief from an Aimpoint 3x magnifier. Now I made sure that I got the LaRue FTS mount Tall for lower 1/3 match up with the RDS. I know that with magnifiers you are not able to view the front sight with 3x and above magnification which I get it, but some have posted that they are able to see front sight perfectly and I have asked how. No answer as of yet. So I thought it may be possible that my RDS is mounted to far forward on the scope rings {seen on the picture) and if I push the RDS forward will that help me with being able to see front sight a little better. Otherwise I will just have to trust my RDS is zeroed perfectly and just shoot. Thanks for the help. " />

You shouldn't hardly see your FSB, if you do, it's generally a haze. It will vary for people depending on optic, and mounting location. I wouldn't worry about a thing. This at 3x with a magnifer my FSB is just a haze at the bottom of the RDS view. With a 3-9x40 scope I don't even see the FSB. As far as zeroing your RDS flip the magnifier to the side and zero to your zeroed sights, should be just a fine adjustments after that. You can not use the BUIS or FSB with the magnifier. |
