I'm building a dissapator with a flattop upper. My question is do I still use a F marked or A2 front sight post. I'm pretty sure it's F marked but I wanted some confirmation.

Thx

"F" is for Flat top.

As I understand it the F marked is correct for the shorter gas systems (ie carbine) instead of installing the taller post. IMHO the non F would be more apropriate. Also it's not as big a deal as it's cast to be.

The original dissy was a bushy wasn't it? Bushy never used F marked if I'm correct...

Negative:  it is a function of the rear sight height which id determined by fixed or removable.

"F" is for Flat top regardless of the gas system/piston configuration of the rifle.
