interesting. I'd be curious to see them all with the exact same optic.
Are you sure the Bobro mount they sent you is a lower 1/3 and not absolute? they are virtually identical in appearance. check the part number or weigh it, (lower 1/3 3.9 oz - absolute 3.7 oz) |

Thanks for posting, as a side note have you noticed any difference in sight picture using irons through each mount. There's definitely a minor difference in the sight picture with irons. It's minor but noticeable. It seems each manufacturer has a slightly different view of what constitutes lower 1/3. |

I have a Bobro absolute CW mount on my T1, and I have to do some adjusting to get my G33 magnifier to work with it. It looks like Bobro's lower 1/3 is the industry standard's Absolute.
Yep..."Absolute" is generally regarded as 1.5-1.54" above rail. Here is what Bobro's site says about their "High" T1 mount: The Aimpoint Micro T1 High Mount provides a 1.7" height riser which is .20? over a Lower 1/3rd co-witness when mounted on the AR15/M16 weapon platform. http://www.bobroengineering.com/view/product/20/ So, basically, if you want "Absolute", buy a lower 1/3 Bobro. If you want "Lower 1/3", buy a "High" Bobro. Awkward, and "well now you know..." but not really an issue since they make all sizes, in proper dimensions. They just label them funky. Thats....really odd. |
