So I just got a used Aimpoint comp ml2 and theres no dot showinbg in the first 4 clicks. It looks legit all the proper markings are there, I researched fake aimpoints and this one looks like the real thing.
Could the battery need replacing? |

That's normal. The first few clicks are for really dark areas. Like everyone said, ho with a new battery first. Also when in a dark room, let your eyes aclamate for at least 5 to 10 minutes first. The first two to three clicks on mine are real faint, can barely see the dot. 77 |

Could the battery need replacing? the first 4 settings or so are nvg compatible if the dot is there on setting 7-11 the batts are good it's working correctly. 11 should be so bright it almost hurts the eyes. |

This. First few settings are visible with NVG only. Post a pic of your aimpoint if you want us to confirm authenticity. |

If it's an M2/3, then that would be correct. The OP may not know what he has or the battery is low. |
