Hi guys. Looking at getting one of these and was wondering if it is the best optic out there for the price. Also let me know if you have used one of these before and what you think of them. Thanks in advance.

I had a Gen 1 Sparc, and although I didn't have anything AGAINST it ... I just preferred the Primary Arms Micro(MD-RBGII ), plus it's half the price of the SPARC.
The P.A. is only about an ounce lighter, and they're basically the same size, but the dot on my SPARC seemed a little oblong or something and the P.A. dot seemed much sharper. Also the Spark dot moves 1 full MOA per click and the P.A. is only .5 MOA per click, and I'm kind of anal retentive about dialing in my dot dead nuts. I ended up selling my SPARC to a buddy who actually prefers it to his EOTech XPS-2, so it's all about personal preference. |
I picked up a Vortex Spark for my AR-15 and have been shooting with it for about 8 months. My goal was to get the best product for my purposes. Great red dot, very accurate at 50yds, is a good value and has a lifetime no BS warranty. Vortex Spark or Spark II, you can't go wrong with either one.
I bought one over the black Friday weekend from optics planet. It just came in Friday, I was pretty surprised with the quality for the price. I have a PA Aimpoit clone on a .22, I'm happy with that optic but this Sparc II is much higher quality IMO. If I was going in to a war zone I'd probably opt for an Aimpoint or Eotech but for under $200 the Sparc II makes an excellent HD/Range optic IMO.
Picked one up this past week and for 100 yards in, it's a pretty damn good piece of gear. Very accurate at 50 and I can keep about a 4" shot group at 100 yards. If ya plan on shooting past 100 yards I'd get an actual scope or the magnifier. Love the lifetime warranty. As far as the quality I think it's worth every cent and more.
