I'm about to meet a guy and do a trade + cash for an ACOG ta31f.
I've never owned an acog,  but I have fondled a couple in the past.

Aside from the fact that they aren't really Pelican cases it does look like the one my TA31 came in.
The outside would be helpful though.

It's not unheard of to come across a deal.  Get the serial number and contact Trijicon.  They are generally more than happy to tell you if it's legit or fake or stolen from Uncle Sugar etc...   If the guy refuses or is in a super hurry its a sure sign to walk away.

He just told me he will bring the original receipt....

That case looks correct.

Trijicon switched from Pelican cases a couple years ago.

Looks real enough to me, but more pictures would definitely help

RULE 1:

Get the Serial Number and Call Trijicon to VERIFY it.

Simple enough.

I would call trijicon if you want to be sure, but I think it's good to go.

I called them about a smoking deal, no box one to get manufacture date... They also told me it was sold to the government.... Brought it up and seller went quiet.

That appears to be a legit ACOG. Judging by the case you posted earlier it is most likely a  but I would call Trijicon with the serial number and verify.

Looks real to me. I've never seen a fake one have the raised lettering on the body and matching serial number on the rear and middle body

Called them today. Checked out good.
