hey guys,

looking for a sigh for my stag flattop ar15. i want it to able to be roughed around a bit (dropped a few times) and still be on target. i have a fixed front sight post so i dont know how well that would work with a scope. i was thinking more of getting a used eotech or aimpoint but then i heard you can barely see someone past 100yds without magnification but it would be much more beneficial to have is for close quarters than a far out shot.

has anybody had experience with a eotech/aimpoint past 100 without magnifiers?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep it under 300, im paying for college also

thanks you, steve

I've been able to hit a 12"x12" steel plate at 200 yards with my RDS pretty easily.

YMMV

+1  assuming you are just shooting steel and/or plinking then a used Aimpoint or Eotech should serve you well. It will serve well in a HD roll as well of course. My eyes aren't great and I shoot plates at 200. Though it isn't quite as easy asit used to be.
