Mounted a new EOTech XPS sight on my AR.  When adjusting the sight the L-R adjustment had a distinct click as you would expect.  The U-D adjustment did not have a click.  It was very difficult to determine how far to turn for the 1/4 adjustments.  Anyone else have this issue?

It is an issue that several have had.  I have had it, too, although it wasn't bad enough that I felt like sending it in.  I would contact L3, and see about getting it fixed.  They are usually helpful.

Thanks Webman.  I'm new to these circles...who is L3, company or person?

L3 is who makes EOTech.

My older 512 had that issue when I got it used. I sent it to them and since it was out of warranty, I think it cost me like $30 to have it fixed. Your EXPS should be free.

Yessir. L3 communications/insight/EOTech is all L3 communications. They're actually a huge deal militarily besides the EOTech and AN/PEQ line

I had an XPS that did the same thing.  I contacted eotech and they told me it was normal.  I ended up selling that eotech (not because of the clickey thing) and bought an EXPS and that model definitely has a more pronounced click.

L3 has told me that this is normal.  All 3 of my EoTechs had the same thing.  One adjuster would have a distinct ball bearing detent click feel.  The other was mushy and no distinct click.

Terrific.  Not sure how that can be considered normal when one clicks and one doesn't.
