[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about a TA - 33 ACOG

For anybody that has the TA-33 mounted on an AR with a front sight post. Can you see the FSP shadow in the scope or is it invisible?

I had an FSP when I first bought my ACOG, it was only noticeable if you were looking for it. If you weren't it wasn't there. Doesn't effect the ACOG at all, in my experience.

I just got one a couple weeks ago. I didn't notice it but then again wasn't looking for it either.

some people ignore it and shoot just fine others it bugs them enough to get rid of the front sight post.....dremel + cut off wheel = very nice pinned gas block.

I am thinking about getting a TA-33 for one of my Colt 6920s. I really don't want to cut off the FSP. I have Aimpoints on my other 6920s and i was thinking about the ACOG for this one.

I have one on a Larue LT-105 mount with a DD fixed front sight and while you see a shadow it isn't bad.

To correct it put the ACOG in the tall Trijicon/Bobro mount to raise it a bit.

I had one for about a year on an 18" upper with a fixed front sight. If I looked for the shadow, I would notice it, if I wasn't looking for it I never noticed it.

I have since removed the FSB and gone with a flip up front sight on the rail.
