I have been looking for a fixed power scope for out to about 300 yards. I have been mainly looking at the PA 2.5x or the 4x as those seem to be getting good reviews. I havent heard too much about the vortex spitfire 3x but thats $100. Its going to go on my Tavor. I have a aimpoint pro on my 14.5" right now, i do like it but i would like a little more manigfication for the longer distances so thats why I am undecided which route to go. For the most part it will just be for range use as of now.

What kind of reticle would you want?  Turrets?  Milrad or MOA?  What size targets?  Human torso, steel or varmints, or MOA or less paper punching?

Will this be your primary optic?  Will it be in fixed mounts or QD to use with another optic?

On a Tavor I would save for a bit and spend the money on a nice optic, not like ACOG expensive, but something like an Aimpoint micro with an affordable magnifier

As of now my 14.5" is my go to weapon. I have had my tavor for a little while and havent really gotten to take it out as much as i would like to. So its mainly going to be for paper right now till i get more comfortable with it and use to the way it works and operates. Later on it maybe a go to weapon. I. Would eventually move onto different types of targets and some drills with it. I like the way PA designed their reticles for their scopes. I havent looked too much at the vortex yet. And i dont care for the burris reticle. I had a 1-4 mtac and didnt care for the size and design of that reticle, which is the same one they use on the 3x and 5x. I am not going after precision right now. Mainly just going for decent shot placement. Right now my wofe and i have a baby on the way, so we are putting money aside for that. I dont have a whole bunch left over and would like to get out as much as i can this summer to practice.
