I've got a rifle with an M2 on it, using the stock QRP mount.
I dont mind the mount, but i am looking to save weight on the gun. Using a full size aimpoint vs the micro is a big difference in weight. I've done some searching and can't find any information on good, lighter mounts. Does such a thing exist? Or are all aftermarket mounts lighter? |

Probably won't find a good ROI on weight savings for M2 mounts.
Recommend just going with an LT150 and calling it a day. You'll enjoy the more streamlined, bomb-proof, while returning to zero sexiness, but I doubt it's that huge of a weight savings. Maybe a few ounces only. http://www.laruetactical.com/larue-tactical-comp-m2-mount-lt-150 |

Having the desire to lighten the loads, my compm4 was in need of new duds. For as much as the LaRue mounts are, I was real hesitant considering the price factor. Then I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy the so called hype. I'll honestly say that the LT line of products are fine specimens. They're very well built and finely thought out. I'm not disappointed. Will I buy more LaRue products? Damn rights. Buy once, cry once. The quality you can take to the bank. Mark, you have my address. I'll expect some Dillo Dust in the mail. |
