I'm in the process of swapping out my A2 front sight and hand guard for a low profile gas block and Yankee Hill free float hand guard in order to have a scope gun. I know that a scope can work with the A2 front sight but I just want it gone. My question is about a particular QD mount and just how well it comes back to zero after taking off and remounting. Having not owned a QD mount before, I just don't have an idea whether we are taking that it comes back to hitting in the black or does it come back to the true zero it was before it came off? The mount I'm referring to is:
The Burris AR-P.E.P.R. QD Mount makes it easy to gear up for different applications or shooting disciplines. Two Quick Detach levers make it easy to change optics or switch to iron sights and still maintain return-to-zero reliability. I'm thinking about a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36mm or a 3.5-10x40mm. I sure would appreciate anyone's thoughts about all of this. Best regards, Bil |
