Have a 3-9 scooe on the way for my ar10 and now I need a mount. I looked on google image and people seem to mount them a few different ways. Rail rings, mounts that extend scope forwad and ones that dont. What are the pros and cons of each? Must clear buis

With an AR10 you can get by with just tall rings.  On an AR15 you'd need a cantilever mount because there isn't as much space on the top rail.

Better than rings would be some sort of one-piece mount (cantilever or not).

Do you want cheap? lightweight? quick-detach? heavy-duty? built in bubble level? There are a lot of mounts out there to choose from.  What's your budget?

Its gona be my shtf rifle so I want a qd that will hold zero. My budget is around $200 but willing to pay a little more if necessary to get quality.  Was lookin at the bobro and like the fact theres only one lever I have to work to get rid of the scope

$200 bucks will get you close to one of the best if not the best QD mounts out there which is a LArue LT-158 which is meant for .308's.

I suggest you save a lil more and get one.
