I am currently serving in the US Army.  I am trying to make my personal Colt LE6920 as close to our M4's as possible.  I know we use the M68 CCO which is either the Comp M2 or Comp M4.  I don't have the money to shell out for one of these so I was looking at the Aimpoint PRO.  Does any one have any experience with this optic?  How close is it to a M2 or M4?  Would it work as a substitution to a M2 or 4??

Thanks for the help!!

If you don't mind me asking.  Where did you get your PRO from?

I love my Aimpoint Pro.  Used it today at the range.  Paid $400 at my LGS so I didn't have to pay any shipping.

The Aimpoint-Pro is great sight. I own an M3 an M4 and the Pro and they all work and function equally well. As already stated I can't tell the difference other than the price and the fact that the Aimpoint-Pro comes from the factory with a mount which saves you another $100 over the M2/M3.

I have an ML2 and a Micro T1.  I love them both!

The Pro is great.  Same performance as the other Aimpoints, but with a little shorter battery life (still several years worth).

If you are active duty you should be able to get a decent discount.  Check out a company called Strohman Enterprises and ask for the discounted price sheet.

The PRO will be totally familiar.  The earlier M68 CCO (aka Comp M2) is externally the same as the PRO, as is the operation.  The PRO uses a 2 MOA dot vs the 4 MOA dot on the M68.  Battery life is up to 3 years, but swap it out annually.  It's about the best deal available for a duty grade RDS, especially when you consider the QRP II mount is included.

I love my pro it came with M3 instruction book so I am guessing the difference was not enough for them to print new instructions.

The comp M4 uses a AA battery instead of the 1/3N the Pro uses.

I have 2 PROs on different ARs.  I love them.  I don't think you can go wrong with one.  less battery life than the Comp m4.

Cant say anything that hasnt been said, I feel theres nothing better for rapid target acquisition then aimpoint.  I felt extremely comfortable all the way to 300 yrds with my ml3.  The patrol is cheaper than the ml3, nv compatible AND comes with a sweet mount.
