| I was going to pick up a top line QD mount, but just couldn't justify the cost, given the price and size of my scope (Burris Fullfield - 1"). I thought that if I upgraded to a better scope, I would be locked in to 1" rings. Your choices were my first thoughts (with a very heavy lean towards Larue), also, but then I finally decided that Bobro would be the way to go when I DO upgrade to better optics. Check them out. |

Thanks for the tip. Why bobro though? If price was an issue and you were looking for top of the line, why not go with the larue? It's slightly cheaper than the bobro and I've heard better things about the larue. |

I have the same vortex mount (if it's the one with the torx screws recessed on the other side). I went with this one because having QD or giant knobs on the LEFT side is a PITA with a side charger. Only took me hitting my knuckles ONCE to change that crap out. Unfortunately every QD mount seems to have the levers on the left.

I have used both the LT, ADM and the Bobro mounts. I'd use LT or Bobro over the ADM; I wasn't really pleased with the bicycle skewers on the ADM (they felt cheap and inconsistent) and the mount didn't feel as well made as the Bobro and LT; the Bobro is solid and self-adjusts which is neat but I don't like how much the lock assembly sticks out the side of the mount or the short throw spring loaded lever itself. I prefer the LT with it's cams that put the pressure under the rail edge (feels more precise) and lock manually with the lever cap. |

As said, I don't think you'd go wrong with either. If you order from Larue though, you get some neat stuff! |
| You can't go wrong with either of your original choices. I have both. I prefer LaRue. It just seems stronger. The ADM levers appear vulnerable, but I've never had a problem with the design. I prefer ADM for short single lever mounts for microdot sights. There weight matters and they are light. For a scope, go LaRue. |
