Hey guys...I got a SWFA scope on my .308 that I bought.  It came on the gun.  This is the first time that I have ever had a scope like this...I am used to using Nikon BDC's, or Nikon regular reticle.  I don't understand how to use this scope.  Please forgive me :)

What kind of reticle do you have?  Can you find it on their website?

Thanks guys!  I have the mil-dot reticle, I forgot to add that.  One thing I don't understand is setting the 0 on these scopes.  I guess mainly because I don't understand adjusting the dials for your range...Seems like a BDC is much more practical lol.

After you zero the rifle loosen the three set screws on the turrets. Pull the turrets straight off. Turn it back the zero mark and push it back down on the scope. Thighten the three screws back. If it's hard to push the turrets back on take one of the screws completely out until you get the turrets in place. That will let some air in to be able to push it into place.

Zero you rifle and use the above procedure to move the turrets to "0". Now when you look at your data book you can move the elevation accurately to dial for range. Say you need to come up three mils to shoot at a particular distance, you turn your elevation knob to 3 and shoot. You can then go to 5.6,2.3,7.8 mils or what ever is required to shoot your next target without having to count "clicks".
