| I was wondering what your favorite 1-4x, and 1-6x scopes are, and why. I am looking at the Burris MTAC, but I won't lie, I would prefer a more traditional reticle. I don't see very many under the $500 mark with re-zeroable turrets. I guess I could memorize what zero is, but that is a pain in me arse. Being a 1-4x, I don't know if I would ever use the feature anyways. Just one of thos ethings I would rather have, just in case. |

Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x20 with FireDot and SPR reticle. Might be great for you. I run the higher mag 3-9x40mm version with TMR retilcle and like it a lot. This is a 30mm main tube American optic from a company with a long history of quality and dependability. If the price is a bit much, the same features are available in the Mark AR line, which has on inch tube and slightly less brilliant glass, but still quite good. |

I also just got a Bushnell 1-6x Elite Tactical and I am in love however it is twice the cost of the Leupold I would love something like that. Any of those listed above really, but $500 is about all I am going to have that I can spend on optics. I really need to keep it around $300, but I will push to $500 if I have to. |
