Looking for a 30mm mount for a Vortex 4-16 PST.  After seeing The Lone Survivor I want something that can fall off a mountain!!!  What do you guys think is a strong mount?  GG&G, ADM, ARMS etc?

It's being mounted on an custom AR-308 with PRS stock if that helps.

None of the above.  LaRue SPR 1.5 (LT-104).  Extremely rugged, absolute return to zero.  Repeat - extremely rugged.

I like ADM, too, but I think their levers are more vulnerable to damage.

Not sure how I forgot to list them...  Do they sell at any store other than straight from Larue.  Living in CT, the last couple years I've only bought guns and not finished them seeing the writting on the wall..  Now I am trying to finish all my projects..  I realized of 40 something guns, only 3-4 have been shot and sighted in with the optics I want on them... A CMMG dedicated 9mm gun with and aimpoint C3, my MSAR STG-556 with Leapold Mark 4 CQB 1-4, CMMG dedicated 22 on a preban lower with Primary arms Aimpoint copy, and one hunting gun... A CZ 452 with weaver 4x, and conetrol rings.  If I'm going to do it, I want it done right....  So many projects and a lot of trips to the range...

Adm.

Not impressed with the larue mounts digging up my rails.

It doesn't get any tougher than Spuhr.

+1 and ADM as well.

LaRue mounts work well and are quality but the design is a bit dated, they come loose over time and if you aren't careful they will mar your rail.

I'm surprised to hear that about the Larue, but honestly I have never purchased a 1 piece mount before.  With mostly Aimpoints, the Leapold CQB and Scope Rings.  The Bobro looks great but DAMN that's pricey..  Is it $50 nicer/stronger than the ADM?

Why aren't my rails marred?  I swap my LaRue mounted scope quite a bit with my ADM mounted red dot.  I like both, but no marring and it is the ADM that seems to need adjusting fron time to time. Can't seem to get the lever tension quite as precise.  Both good, though.

ADM even makes one with the Vortex logo so you match.
