For Christmas I got a Vortex Strikefire for my AR-15. I'm not very knowledgeable on sights and stuff, so had a question about it. I was wondering if it matters where the red/green dot is in my vision when I look through the sight, or if it will hit where it should no matter what angle I'm looking in the sight from,. It is kind of hard to explain, but for example, I know with an EOTech you can look at it from an angle and the bullet will hit where the reticle is pointed, and I was wondering if it is the same with my Strikefire, or if I need to like it up perfectly with my front iron sights.

It is parallax corrected beyond 25 yards I believe.

It's 50 yards, and I don't know what the parallax thing is. Like I said, I know pretty much nothing about sights.

the bottom line is out to 50 yds you need to be pretty well in the center of the optic for point of aim point of impact . past 50 yds you have more  room to wiggle .
