Was a battery included with yours?

I received my PRO from Midway today.  No battery was included.  I went to Radio Shack and found one for $14.58.  Youch!  I'm sure I could find one online, but I'm an impatient bastard and wanted to try it out.

I have bought several PROs and they always came with a battery.  Make sure you remove the foam from the box and check all inside of it.  Also, make sure the battery isn't already installed and you simply aren't turning the switch high enough.  You won't see the dot until about setting 5.

I found mine in the bottom of the box. Went to Battery Junction and picked up 2 extra batteries for $3.51ea. They also have great prices on cr123a's

I searched, squeezed, squished, and tore apart the packaging 20 times.  I removed the battery cover, etc.  no battery.  I wound up going to 3 drug stores, Wl-Mart and a supermarket before I found one at Radio Shack.  I would have startd at RS, bu I heard that location had closed.  It had ot.

$14.58 though.

I haven't checked to see what they cost around here.  Haven't needed to, but after driving around that much, I would have just bought the $15 one and called it a day.  Heck, it is going to last you a few years anyway.

If you feel like waiting, I would contact Midway.  They will either make it right, or explain why they didn't include it.  They may not be allowed to ship batteries to your location.

Oh, I did buy one at RS.  My patience is nill.  I was just wondering if battery not included was normal.  Not a big deal.  I'm not going to knock Midway or Aimpoint. Shit happens.

Did you receive it by ground shipping or air?

Couple months ago I called Midway to order a PRO and needed is fast. The customer service rep stated because it contained a lithuim battery, it had to go ground. They offered to remove the battery and seen it overnight. I declined and found one local. So just a thought as in why you didnt get one included.

Bought mine from Rainier Arms about two years ago, battery included.  If you haven't already, double check the packaging.

Thanks everyone.  I'll probably just shrug it off.  Midway has always been great by me, so one battery isn't a big deal.

This sight is awesome.  Much more rugged than I expected.  Super high quality machining and anodizing. I can't wait to try it at the range.

Mine came with a battery but was missing the flip front cover. I had ordered from Midway. This was my second from Midway. I notified them and they said I could sent the whole unit back to be replaced. I opted to just notify Aimpoint who sent me a new cover in two days.

Tried out my new PRO today at the range.  What a fantastic scope with a 3X magnifier.  Right on the money after elevation adjustments.  Should have purchased this long time ago instead of getting the cheapie ones.......Now my cheapie one will be sitting inside the case and gather dust.

Got mine from Midway and IIRC the foam packing at one spot had a little battery sized cutout that was plugged with a piece of foam. It was almost impossible to see.

$15 is way too much for the battery though. Midway has the Energizer equivalent for like $4. If there's a Batteries + store in your area they carry the Duracell for about the same price. I recently bought one from Midway and keep it stored in the grip.

It's going to depend on the carrier. USPS will no longer accept lithium batteries.

Ebay is your friend for 1/3 N batteries. Tons of mil surp blister packs out there.
