I recently got a Matech BUIS for my M4. Sighted in good, took out again to shoot some more. When shooting the sight would drop from the Line mark, to the 400 meter mark.

How can I fix this?

How do the elevation adjustment detents feel?

They feel positive on all distances, except the line...

The 'line' is only used for zeroing the sight on the M16A4. The detent for the line is very shallow. The sight is only meant to be in that position for a short time. I would guess it is designed that way so soldiers can move quickly past it when transitioning from the 300 to 400 meter setting.

Is the sight in process (using the line) the same for the M4? Or set to 300 meter?

Use the 300M setting for zeroing the M4.
