Think they get plenty of love, just so few run their sticks without some type of primary optic and relegate the irons to back-up duty.
When I get around to building my retro A1 and A2 they will be optic-free, running plain old irons. If you're in need of an iron sight visual porn fix, check out the Retro forum. ETA - clarification, apparently my fingers are not as quick (laugh) as my thoughts. |

Very nice and thanks for posting. |

Shooting with "irons" is the purest (IMHO) form of shooting.
Edit: Linkage... Because the Marine Corps Basic Rifle Marksmanship has so ingrained a love and respect for irons, I keep going back and forth on whether or not to proceed w/my A4 build. The basic A4 is Boss as is. Sorry for the piss poor quality photo; if I learn how to use the digital cam, I'll take a better one. Pic |

Quoted: For now this is no BUIS, that is until I get my Aimpoint T1 . Also the rail is a Troy Delta BattleRail, it is a two piece FF drop in, all you have to do is remove the front sling attachment and it is GTG. Highly recommend for those of us who want a long rail but don't want to remove the fixed front sight.http://oi33.tinypic.com/2zqa3oi.jpg You need a fixed rear sight buddy, but still nice. |
