I have two of these and I thought there was an ARD listed when I got them. My dealer forgot to order them and I have just never pursued. I do know the reticle on the Canadian units I have seen is different from the US manufactured ones. Check SWFA or call Elcan customer service.

The reticle on mine is just the cross hair with the 2,4,6 marking stadia lines which is lit of course with the red dot mode. It does not have the circle range markings. Like I said in my OP I believe it's an older version. |
| This one came in the box you see with the optic and manual. I traded an ACOG TA-11 plus some cash to acquire it. I think it was a pretty good deal although the TA-11 was pretty awesome scope. Any ideas on the lack of markings? I found this weird but I also know from my time in the military that the government (at least several years ago) usually doesn't like their equipment to be covered in brand names and markings. I figured this was an old military overrun model but I obviously don't know for sure. |

It is a Gen. 1 SpecterDR.
I am unsure if there is an ARD that will fit it, as there were some changes made between the Gen. 1 and the Gen. 2 which gained wider acceptance. As far as I know, the reticule is not a Canada/USA reticule, but a commercial/military reticule. The military SU-230/PVS uses a reticule similar to that of the TA01ECOS, the so called "SOCOM" reticule, while the commercial variants use one with circles for area targets at extended ranges. ~Augee |

I figured that's what it was but couldn't really find any information about the older models here on the interweb. ETA: Are there any major issues with the Gen I Spectre's that your aware of? It seems to be really well built. Just curious. This thing had been sitting in someone's gun safe for a long time without use. |

call DS Tactical in Vancouver B.C. and ask for Martin. 604-524-5867... if anyone can source you an ARD for that model, it's him. I have several Spectre DR's, but i have never seen that config before. Thanks for the info. I was back out shooting it today and really love it. I'm probably going to be picking up a second to replace the SRS on my switchblock Noveske gun. I've owned and fielded several different optics from Aimpoints to ACOGS both magnified and not. The Spectre blows all of them out of the water. I'm just not a fan of the steep price tag but its just money. I make it to spend it although my wife would argue against it. Thanks again for the info. |
