so i bought a used docter that is mounted in an acog wing mount. i wanted to take it out so i could change the battery. i have taken out both allen head screws but the sight isnt coming off. am i missing something here?

ok i got it off, but im still having an issue. i went to mount the docter mount and it doesnt fit. i was under the impression they were all the same. in the pictures you can see how the tabs on the upper half are too far back, if i try to line them up with the ACOG, the front of the mount wont go forward far enough because of the adjustment caps on the ACOG. is this a TA31 or other ACOG specific mount? the mount has no markings so i dont even know what manufacture it is.

Hmmm....

I'm not sure whose mount that is, it doesn't look like a Trijicon mount, the wings are not the usual shape.  

It may have been designed to go around the rear lens of the ACOG with a bottom strap, not mount to the NSN mounting points?

Not sure what the best solution would be other than to just go ahead and buy a Trijicon mount...
