[ARCHIVED THREAD] - KAC mount question

I have a KAC "straight up mount" with the wing nut on it. I currently have a PRO mounted in it. I need to know if i am missing a washer or crush washer or something. My mount has the "wing" nut and then the clamp that grabs onto the rails . The wing nut pushes directly on the clamping section. Should there be a washer or locking washer between the two parts?

I tried calling KAC and could not get through to customer service. Does anyone have one of these mounts where they can take a look at it?

Mine have a thin plastic flat "washer".

thanks, i think i am missing that part. I called KAC but cant get them on the phone and their email is down. I guess i will keep trying.
