[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How much should scope rings weigh???

I just bought a set of AR height individual rings to mount a Leupold scope on one of my AR's.

These rings weigh about 4 oz. each. They feel heavy to me but I don't know much about the weight of these things.

Any thoughts on how much a ring set should weigh without being too heavy?

Only 7oz for a good one-peice mount. 8oz total isn't terrible.

The Seekins 30mm 4 screw cap rings that I use are 4 oz each.

Thanks, I must be okay then. They just felt heavy in hand. I guess it is due to the fact that they are so much taller than the rings I normally use on bolt guns.
