A lot of guys mount an ACOG on top with an offset Micro T-1. Is it possible to do the opposite? In other words, is it possible to have the T-1 as the primary optic and then, say, a TA47 in an offset mount?
My 47 year old eyesight isn't that great any more, but I would like to be able to reach out to 250-300 yards. I am not interested in a variable optic, and I want to stay with the T-1 / ACOG combo. I recognize the fact that most combat occurs at close range and, thus, the need for a 1x optic. A lot of guys say the T-1 is good out to 300 yards or so, and that may be true for a guy with 20-20 vision, but not necessarily for a guy with 20-80 vision. I want speed up close, but the option to reach out a bit if need be. Does anyone have any suggestions? |
| I do not believe there is an offset mount for the mini ACOG. I think the eye relief and eye box would give you more issues than you realize if you tried to place an ACOG forward and offset. Stick with the ACOG primary and T-1 offset if you are absolutely stuck on that combo. |
