| Ever since I built my AR I was planning on running a scope and an offset dot. Since NY doesn't sell any fun guns anymore I'm finally going to take the plunge. I'm currently running an Optisan Mamba 1-4, which has been great, but I'm no good at changing magnification on the fly. I'll probably wind up putting a higher power scope on once I set up the dot, my eyes just arent good enough to make 300+yd shots on 4x. I was looking at the DD 1 o clock mount, not sure on the dot though. I like the fastfire style, I'd like to keep everything pretty small. I figured I'd get one ot those shields I've seen if I get a reflex style dot. Just looking for some reccomendations on the red dot, also on the size of the dot for this type of setup. I'm thinking a bigger dot might be better for fast close-up shots. |
