I just mounted an Aimpoint PRO on my AR.  Having never used an Aimpoint, I'm not sure what the sight picture should look like.  When I turn the light on, I can't see a dot until the last 2 clicks, then I see a small red dot in the center and a large red blob at the edge at the 11:00 position.  Is this normal??

Was this new? If not, change the battery and report back. The lowest 4 settings should not be visible. Everything else is very easy to see. The highest setting is a lot brighter than the setting just before it.

Yes it was brand new from Midway.  I am more concerned about the bright red blob at the 11:00 position on the last 2 clicks.  When I look thru there is a tiny red dot in the center but a large red light on the edge.

Possible defect.

Try letting someone else look at it and if they see the same blob/dot contact Aimpoint or Midway.

Take it outside tomorrow during the day and I'll bet it looks fine.

Here is one of my AP Pros. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. See that light reflection at 11 o'clock? That's just how it looks indoors sometimes with the dot turned up too high.
