Good evening to all. I am new to the AR world. I am looking for a scope to mount and found this Redfield Battlezone 3-9X40 scope and would like to know if anyone has knowledge of this product. I could not find it on Redfields website. It is on SWFA.com for 199.99. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking for reviews of this scope. I looked at one briefly at Academy the other day. I liked what I saw. It is surprisingly light, about on par with the Leupold Mark AR 3x9. I am looking for a 3x9 with exposed turrets (windage & elevation) to play with. I Bought a Nikon P-223 a month ago, but took it back as soon as I got it home and took a good look through it. The reticule was too busy for me and got lost in the brush. It was noticeably heavier than the Leupold. I returned it and paid another $50 for the Mark AR. The Redfield Battlezone has a bold reticule with light hash marks in the center. The adjustments seem nice and firm. I would have bought it if I didn't already have the Leupold.

You guys would boh be better off with the Weaver grand slam tactical 3-10x40 from midway USA. Its made in Japan and mil/mil. Not a whole lot more for a far better scope.

I contacted Redfield and was told the scopes are not available yet? The scopes are made in the Phillipines. For what it is worth I ordered a SS 6x42  Tactical from SWFA

Could be wrong, but I remember reading that Leupold makes Redfield?

i just purchased my battlezone.  so far it seems like a great scope for the money.  After searching high and low for reviews, I took the jump and decided id be the first one to review it.  Putting it on my stag tomorrow, just not sure what way I want to go mounting it.

Did you ever get it mounted on your Stag? How is it working?

I also purchased the Redfield Battlezone 3x9x42 for my AR from Overstock.com for $179.99. What a deal and I was impressed by its quality in craftmanship even when it is assembled over in the Philippines. After mounting it on my AR and out to the local range all in all it took me of about less than five minutes to zero it in at 100 yards with federal 55gr. full copper jacket bullets in less inch 3 group shot without even lazer bore sighting the rifle/scope in. I'am very pleased with leupold/redfield in developing a scope for the budget crunching citizen, keep up the great work. I fully recommend this scope.
