I picked up a couple of these on black Friday.  During the same timeframe, my LE agency has been doing a T&E on a Strikefire as well.

So far, I am impressed.  There is a hell of a lot of optic here for the money.

Anyone have any negative feedback?

Nope.

I have three so far and love them.    I also have one SPARC that had to be replaced once.  The new one seems to be doing fine.

What are you guys getting for battery life?

I'll let you know as soon as I go through the first one.  I probably have 50-60 hours on the one I use most.  I normally use setting 1 or 2.  It's rated as 4,400 hours at minimum setting so it may be a LONG time before I get back to you.

ive left mine on every night overnight till self shutdown plus range time about 2-3 hours a week. most at mid range brightness setting, some full brightness at range outside during the summer. i did this when i got it to actually see realistic battery life, it went right around 2  months till the day it wouldnt power up, this was also the factory shipped battery which looks like a p.o.s. im sure a brand new brand name high quality battery would go longer yet. i havent tried again with a new battery but i think i will nowthat i think about it just to see what happens.

That sounds promising, I may try a similar test to see how long mine will run.

I had one mounted on an slr 107cr in a RS ak mount. It went completely dead after less than 300 rounds. Sent it into Vortex and it was replaced with a unit that had obviously been used. Sold the replacement unit shortly after that.

I found the exposed power button to be a real liability as it was too easily bumped on while sitting in a rifle case. Magnifier unit was worthless. Glass was fine for the price point. Brightness of the dot was OK for most environments. Had problems at the outdoor range on sunny days. Included mount appeared solid. For the price I think they are OK range toys. Customer service was super friendly.

i could see that being an issue. i dont put my ars in cases , i dont mind tossing em in the back seat of the truck if im going somewhere and my go to range is about 300 yards out my front door in an old quarry thats on the far side of the property and i walk 9/10 times. ive never had issue with the switch but i would like to see it moved in an updated version as its current location is admittedly a bad spot for it, id upgrade immediately just because.

I also think that the exposed switch may be the weak link.  So...I rotated the optic 90 degrees and the switch now faces down against the rail.  There is plenty of room to activate the switch and the brightness buttons even with a buis, but the switch is protected.  Just have to use your windage knob for elevation and vice versa.  Simple fix.

Great optics, I have two, my Lt. has some, a sgt....the list goes on.  They have excellent glass for the money, crystal clear without parallax or tint.

For the price you can't beat it.

If you are dead set on the strikefire, make sure you get the red dot only model. Much brighter.

I must have a rarity because I have to mash the power button to turn it on or off.   I like mine.

I did have to mash it to turn it off. But it would turn on if you looked at it funny.

I too have astigmatism and found that if I use the rear flip up sight in conjuction with the red dot, I have a very fine dot to use.  Works for me.
