Anybody tell me about the MD-09? Can't find it on the PA website.

We have gone away from the numbers. just look for the description of the one you want. Removable base, fixed base or removable with extended front for killflash. Fixed base on the way. 10-12 days to get here and clear customs

Are you trying to find that specific model number because you know it is compatible with a particular mount ala the Attero Arms mount?

What is the advantage/disadvantage for use of the fixed base vs. the removable base micro-dot and when would each be used?

The removable base Micros will fit in mounts designed for AImpoint T-1s. Both will work on a AR with the right mount. The fixed base can use a inexpensive riser. See link below.
