Is it OK to zero an Eotech for 10 yards to be used for HD?

If you do a 50 meter battle zero, at 10 yards aiming CoM, you will still hit CoM.

If you need to do a head shot use the bottom eyebrow.

With a 50yd zero, the bottom of the doughnut should be on at approx. seven yards.  I would rather stick with that than trying to zero at ten, and having to calculate new holdovers.  Of course, if you only plan on using it within ten yards, I suppose it isn't a problem.

If you zero it at 10 yards, you will probably have to aim really low to hit stuff at longer distances, at least out to the top of the bullet's trajectory.

Bottom of the circle.

I haven't  tured on myeotech for a while but isn't the reticle a dot in the middle of a circle with 4 cardinal direction marks on the circle?

Use the bottom of the circle and the vertical line at the bottom.

I caled it an eyebrow because the original aircraft gun sights used 4 separate curved segments instead of one continuos circle so they were referred to as eyebrows.
