Is there a perceivable difference in the dot size and clarity?

I have a 4 moa H-1, but it's a bit fuzzy.  Just curious if the 2 MOA would look any more crisp.

I just received my Aimpoint PRO.   I believe that it has a 2MOA and if I take it to the highest setting the dot looks fuzzy.  Not sure if it should be but I really like it so far.

I have a 2moa H1 and a 4 moa T1 and H1. The 2moa in the micro series is the way to go. The 2moa dot is "sharper" and noticeably covers less of the target.

Hope this helps,

Mike

recieved my new t1 2moa a couple of days ago, and agree––much sharper dot.

I have an astigmatism and noticed the 4moa (which is really 3.4MOA) looks a bit better (but it could have been distance from eye to sight or any number of factors).  Both have to be turned down to 6-8 for me to see a nice circle.  I use the magnifier for 100Y-300Y, but if I turn the 2MOA up in brightness a notch or so, it blooms a bit and may as well be 4MOA for fast close up stuff.

I defintely think the 4MOA t-1 looked better through a 3.25X EO g33 magnifier....the comma or shadow-dot seems a bit more pronounced on my T-1 2MOA....but, again, this could be sight, distance or user specific, so YMMV.

I bet it's user specific as to which dot will look more crisp...though it seems, based on these posts, the 2MOA is crisper, it's also the newer one, so there may be some bias towards the latest, greatest.  Most who stuck with the 4s may not have seen through 2s, but those who have 2s have probably used 4s as well.

That's interesting.  I have astigmatism as well (corrected with contacts), and I think that affects my perception of the dot.  I was hoping that the 2 MOA would provide a crisper dot, but maybe not––if what you say applies to me as well.

With regard to the distance between the eye and the optic, do you find that placing it further away from the eye helps or hinders in getting a crisp sight picture?

I like 2MOA at a longer distance the target is not covered up as much.

If you want to kick in doors of brightly lit places and need quick tartgeting crank the power up to max and it is nearly as good as a 4MOA. You just can't make the 4MOA smaller than it is.

I'll second Joe's comments.  I've got astigmatism, too.  The 2 MOA flares worse probably b/c you inevitably turn it up to make the smaller dot visible.  I have both, BTW.  Best idea is to get the astigmatism corrected.  Sam

I have the astigmatism corrected with contacts.  In bright daylight, the 4 MOA H-1 dot looks relatively crisp.  But in the evening, it starbursts.  I was hoping the 2 MOA would fix this problem, but it appears from you guys are saying that it would be a waste of money to try to upgrade.

If astigmatism flare is the specific reason you're considering a 2 MOA it will probably be a waste.  Sam

Precisely my thoughts!
