I posted earlier about an optic for my Colt 6920 MOE. I have astigmatism so the Aimpoints and Eotechs look blurry even with my corrective contacts.
Someone had mentioned an ACOG not having that issue. What about a poor man's ACOG like a Burris 332? Anyone have experience with it? Valhalla Armory has a great review on it and said it works very similar to the ACOG. Would this work for quick acquit ion but also eliminate the blur found in the Aimpoints and Eotechs? By the way, would probably put a mini-red dot on the Burris 332 if that is the direction I go because my budget would allow that. TIA! |

Anything with a normal reticule will not be a problem. Only optics which project the dot to your eye will be a problem. A lit reticule is not what causes the issue, just the way the light is reflected back to the eye. Same thin when looking at a bright light. You see one on TV and it is perfectly wound, look at a traffic light and it has a halo. People with normal eyes don't see the halo.
Your original thread was moved to optics and sight equipment. |

If you use fixed sights with the red dot it'll make the dot clearer. The aperture limits the light coming through. May work for you or just go the magnified optic route. I really hate to use the irons all the time though, If that's the case the "parallax free" aspect is of no benefit. I am thinking the 332 will still allow me to use both eyes open and then a mini red dot on top would serve for any HD CQC I might have to face. I am just wondering if anyone has ever had any experience with this optic. Can't really find a lot of reviews on it. |

Everything should be crystal clear with your contacts. Same. I have bad astigmatism myself. No blur here due to proper correction. |
