I read the review thread by CodaMan on the Primary Arms 3x Compact Scope which was wonderful.

I am seriously considering purchasing this optic but I have a few questions.

Does anyone have any experience with this scope?  how well does it hold zero? how about durability?

also i am admittedly new to the AR platform and firearms in general.  Does parallax exist in magnified optics?  if so is this one parallax free?

Thanks guys

My experience is that it holds zero perfectly. Ive had one about 3years with no problems.

I get the sensation that the crosshairs are canted eversoslightly on mine but it still shoots fine.

This is supposed to be corrected on the new ones.

I understand the scopes are inspected for reticle rotation.  Mine was fine.  I also got the ADM QD mount.  Besides QD, it is much lighter than the original mount.  I am impressed with the scope.

I bought one a few weeks ago. So far, I'm impressed with about 800 rounds since mounted. The scope holds zero just fine, very sharp and clear glass. Seems durable out of the box but time will tell. No disappointments here!

I put one on my son's S&W 15-22.  It's seen approximately 6000 rounds and has held zero just fine.  The 15-22 is our high volume shooter.

I like the 3x better than my PA red dot (due to the lack of magnification).  If he wouldn't notice immediately... I'd swap them..
