I have a buddy looking at an Aimpoint PRO for his patrol gun. The H1/T1 is getting out of the price range. He's running a Stag left handed AR with the dust cover that flips up on the left side. Can the QRP mount that the PRO comes with be reversed so the knob is on the right side? Would someone mind trying for me?

Thanks in advance!

Update... it looks like it is

I would imagine that if you can remove that spacer, then you may be able to flip the base around so that the knob is on the other side.

I'm looking at mine and it is not reversible because the spacer nor either of the mounts are the same size on both sides.

The guy in the video did it somehow...

if you take the ring/top piece of the mount off the base and simply turn it around, why wouldn't that work?

Unscrew the 2 screws underneath and you can flip it around.  However, the mount appears to be designed to only be used on the left side.

ETA:  After looking at the video, it does look like he has it swapped the way I have shown in the pictures.

But If you do what you are describing, the larger main body would be hanging out over bare space, while the front shorter part would only extend halfway over the mount.

I guess you can do that if you don't mind the mismatched Lego look.

I was going to say you were incorrect because I thought the sight would still be on center line, but I just checked and it isn't.  When in the correct position, my dot is centered on the front sight tip.  When I switched it to the Lego position, the red dot shifts over to the right wing tip.

In that case, say nevermind to my nevermind. Can I do that?
