Just got my new LMT 308 MWSE and have no idea on what scope I am going to use . My primary purpose will be hunting/tacticle and will be shooting upto 1000 yards max (600-800 to be realistic), budget I have is about $1500

Thanks ya all

For $1500, I just bought a Nightforce for my RR .308.  I love it so far.  It's a rock solid optic if you're willing to spend the money.  A bit on the heavy side but what 308 isn't heavy?

Another good optic choice is the Vortex Viper PST line.  I'm sure others will have more input.

I have a DPMS LR308, its topped with a SWFA Super Sniper. I love the scope, its a fixed 10 power and reviews on them are rock solid, including my own as i have now had it on 2 308s over the course of 6+ years, and never had the slightest issue. The serious benefit of it is its only 3-500 dollars depending on the model you choose with mildot reticle(the do have a 1300 dollar HD model with a mil rad reticle). It i was in your shoes, id save a bit on the scope if you can stand it and put the remaining money into ammo and practice time. Shooting out that far requires a lot of the latter.

Well decided to go with USO SN-3 3.2x finally. I know its an overkill but will be moved to my other bolt rifles too.

I use one of these on my SCAR 17 .308; its the best out there IMO:
