Hey all,

I finally got my first ACOG (TA31H), and when I opened the UPS box, the first thing that I noticed was that it wasn't in a pelican case!  It is in a box plastic box that is similar in size to the pelican case, and it has all of the Trijicon markings.  Is this something new from Trijicon?  Going cheap on cases?

Thanks all
N

Trijicon switched to the new cases around the 1st of the year. My TA31ECOS purchased around November of last year had a Pelican Case.

My 2nd TA31ECOS and my TA648RMR-308 had the new case.

I bought a TA01NSN many years ago and it did not come in a Pelican case. I suppose the Pelican case thing was short lived.

I have 2 TA01NSN's of recent manufacture and both came in a Pelican case.

Have seen a couple of TA31's in soft cases, but never in a  plain plastic box.

Thanks for the replies, gang!  I was hoping for the pelican case, but I guess that it's not a big deal.

Question...do you guys generally keep your ACOG mounted or take it off when you're not using it?

.... keep it mounted.  Buy a pelican rifle case... cut out a pattern of the rifle in the foam and store it like that.  You don't want to always be taking your optic off... thats how you eventually work off of zero
