| I am running an Aimpoint Pro on one of my AR's and have a 3x magnifier with a Sampson Arms side flip mount. My problem is I can fit thr 3x over my Magpul BUIS are there any mounts that I can get to raise both the 3x and the Pro to make this work. Thanks for the help. |
| I have mine in a LaRue pivot mount and that clears the Gen 1 MBUS. I mostly use it with my CompM4 in a LaRue mount. It does not line up perfectly with my PRO so you would probably want a LaRue mount for that too. It will work though. Like others have said a new buis would be cheaper especially if you are running gen 1 MBUS, the gen 2 might fit. |

Does your Aimpoint mount give you a true cowitness or a lower 1/3 cowitness? A lower 1/3 cowitness mount will hold the optic a little higher than a true cowitness mount. That 'might' be your problem right there. I agree with the others ... it would likely be less expensive and easier to simply get new rear BUIS. Check out this topic. There is a list of many rear folding BUIS and how high they sit above the rail. |
