I.m looking for a red or green dot scope for my sons 10/22.
Thinking about an Aimpoint Micro clone or something with some magnification for plinking and squirrel population control. Anything that stands above the rest or what should I avoid?? |

Yeah a 1-4x would be awesome on a 10/22. For a kids weapon I would check out Primary Arms to see if you find anything you like. You would probably want an extended mount though.
The micro red dot would work great if you want a red dot. I'd be tempted to get the Primary Arms Micro Dot With Fixed Base MD-07 for a 10/22. |

Quoted: I have the Primary Arms 1-4x scope on a suppressed 10/22 and the fixed-base MicroDot on a suppressed 22/45 pistol. They have both proven to be nice optics, especially for the price. I like Primary Arms for budget optics. I was gonna put the same scope on my AR, but I stumbled on a used EOtech at a gun show to put on it. But I do have the Micro dot (Aimpoint Micro clone) with QD riser from PA. I'd recommend it to anybody looking for a nice, compact, durable budget red dot. |
| I've got the Primary Arms micro on my AR. I love it for the price. Great for range use and hog plinking. Battery life isn't like an Aimpoint but on medium it'll still run for something like a month and a half. I still have the original battery in mine and I use it at least once a week on higher settings and it sits by my bed at night on setting 4. |
