Does the stock QRP2 mount that comes with the Aimpoint PRO give you a lower 1/3 or absolute cowitness? I am having a hard time finding any info regarding the QRP2 mount online.

If it gives you a 1/3 cowitness I am making this purchase VERY soon!

Thanks in advance guys.

It's right in between the two... that is if you are using standard plane rear sights and fsb.

Sorry for not being able to guarrenty 100%, but I just spent a couple of weeks racking my brain trying to make a decision on a sight, and I'm fairly certain I remember reading (somewhere) that it was indeed a lower 1/3 cowitness.  At the time, this was one of the only minuses I could come up with for the PRO, since I was looking for absolute.  Then I found out they were made in SWEDEN!  Nothing against the Swedes, but this build was going to be 100% "Made in U.S.A."

If a lower 1/3 is what you want, and you don't mind an import, then the PRO is probably the best thing going out there, dollar-for-dollar.

I ended up with a EOTech EXPS2-0 (so much for my absolut) based on the more open field-of-view, and the reticle (which is unbeatable IMO), and integral quick-detach.  Sure, I'd prefer if the battery lasted for 30,000 hrs... but in the real world that I live in, popping in a new one every 6 months is no big deal.

Untill my Holy Grail of sights is invented (1-4x; 1 MOA circle-dot; co-witness; open field-of-view; 100,000 hrs. on a  AAbattery, under 8oz.) your stuck with the same decisions as the rest of us: Aimpoint, EOTech, or AGOG?

Have fun!

Yes, I am using a standard fixed front sight(PSA upper) and MBUS rear sight. $400 sounds just right for an Aimpoint IMO!

Thanks guys.
