Been lurking here for awhile and had a quick question:

Wanting to pick up a fixed 3x in the $300 range for plinking, target shooting, coyote/rabbit killin'; considering both the Burris AR-332 and the Primary Arms fixed 3x. Is there anything else I should be including in that price range? Also, there's about a $100 price difference between these two; anyone with knowledge on both care to comment?

If you want to stay under the $300 mark, I would go with PA 3x if you are paying retail prices.  This is based soley off the need to buy a better mount for either optic, which will set you back another $70-$100.

Here are a few Burris 332's listed in EE:
$260.  This one has a TA51 included.

No experience with the Burris but I'm running the PA 3X on my carbine and love it. I ended up switching to the ADM mount and much prefer it to the stock mount. Really impressed with the quality and value of this little scope.

The 332 from Burris is simply awesome.  I've shot it on a 223, 308, and a Beowulf and never had an issue!  It's a great design by Burris mimicking teh acog;s with teh carry handle mountable and rail mountable package all in one.  Never taken any complaints on it.

I don't have any experience with the Burris optic but I do have the PA 3x.  So far I am extremely happy with my PA 3x and would definitely recommend it to others.  It looks like the reticle is very similar if not identical to the Burris so if you want to same some money I think the PA 3x is great choice.
