Thanks great optic but if you can try and get an opmod EXPS2, its basically a EXPS3-0 with the NV removed its a bit more but far more worth it, the Eotech exps mounts are incredible |

The XPS series is a nice way to go. the CR123 batteires are everywhere now and a smaller more compact design is nice. There also is the EXPS series which is a XPS with a quick detach mount and a raised base to allow for a 1/3 co-witness. We have the OPMOD which is our version of the EXPS2 co branded by EOTech. http://www.opticsplanet.net/l3-eotech-opmod-exps2-holographic-sights-limited-edition-red-dot-sights-exps2-0-opmod.html Trevor B. |

The OPMOD is only available in the EXPS, not the XPS. We had an exclusive for a year on the combination of side-mounted buttons, no NV and the quick-release base. I'm with you, I like an absolute co-witness. I have a 512 and an EXPS2-2, and I prefer the absolute co-witness over the lower 1/3. I'm using the Vortex VMX3 magnifier with the swing mount behind my 512 on my Rock River. I'm pretty happy with that setup. ![]() http://www.opticsplanet.net/vortex-optics-vmx3-magnifier-w-swing-mount.html The EOTech magnifier is nice, and the Samson flip-to-side mount is the greatest, but side-by-side, the Eotech magnifier wasn't worth the extra money, to me. The Vortex is a great buy. Mark H. |
