ok so i have a matech, and i love the fact that it has elevation adjustments that are very easy to use. now if i zero it on the 200 setting at 50yrds, will it be on at the other settings? or do i have to zero in meters

I zero mine POA = POI at 50 yards, set on the 200 meter index mark and have had good results to 300; no opportunity to shoot further.  Remember, the MATECH is engineered to complement NATO standard M855 ballistics.  If that's not what you're shooting, YMWV.

Thanks for the reply, i do zero it with M855.

Its goo to hear it works, i really like the quick elevation adjustments on the matech i just wasnt sure if they worked if you zero in yards vs meters

Unless I had a laser rangefinder I would be hard pressed to tell the difference in 300m v/s 300y.  You will be fine, it is a "Back Up Iron Sight"

I zeroed mine with Black Hills 77 grain  MHPs @200 yardswith the sight set at 200. I then went to the 25 yard line and flipped the sight to the 300 mark and it was dead on. FWIW

It's deffinately close enough.

Yes, it should be close.

When I zero'd it at 25/300 w/ the military, I was able to consistently get hits out to 200 meters w/ the setting on 300.  The 250 and 300m target were a bit less consistently hit, but I'm sure that was me more than the sight.

Remember, with the trajectory of a 5.56, you're only losing a couple inches between 200 and 300 yards in elevation.  There's some chart in one of the stickies that shows trajectory at distance, between a 200 and 300m zero.
